Annette Funicello was an American performer and a singer. She is best remembered as being one of Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. When she was a teen, she began her career in the field of singing. She became famous for the hit song "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess.' Annette was born in Utica by Italian-immigrant parents. Her shyness was evident as when she was a child. When she decided to pursue working in the industry began doing dance and performed. Mid-1950s she gained significant recognition due to her roles on "Disney" sketches. Annette's "Disney" persona was discarded as an adult when she began playing adult roles. Most famous for her role as the actress who created the "beach-party" category. Her appearances in movies included as 'How to Stuff a Wild Bikini,' 'Pajama Party, and 'Beach Parties.' The singer continued to record music albums. Annette had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1992 and passed away due to the condition in the year 2013.
