In 1976, the Montreal Olympic Games was the occasion when she became a legend as the first athlete who scored a perfect 10 in bars that were symmetrical. And, to top it off she scored six more perfect 10s, making her the youngest overall Olympic gold medalist only 14 years old age. Not only did Nadia Comaneci draw attention from all directions and help Romania find itself a place on the global map. The achievement of an impossible score has made her a sports celebrity and popularized gymnastics in the entire world. The sport changed the way people view female gymnasts. Such was her impact during the Olympics that even the uneven bar event is named for two of the moves after her toe-on and release. Both are, till date, considered to be at an extremely difficult degree. Her performance was also impressive at World Championships, European Championships and the Olympics. That made her a legend, and she's one of the best gymnasts across the world. In the US she tried to promote sports products and model following her departure from her home country.
